Advanced Diagnostic Bronchoscopy
Besides fiber-optic bronchoscopy and biopsy, we offer several other bronchoscopy options for diagnosing patients with lung nodules or mediastinal tumors and lymphadenopathy:
- Navigational bronchoscopy: Veran’s SPiN® Thoracic Navigation System is a state-of-the-art electromagnetic bronchoscopy system that guides biopsy instruments to smaller lung nodules which are often difficult to reach with regular bronchoscopy tools.
- Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) allows real-time visualization biopsies of mediastinal lymph nodes or masses. This is often an alternative to more invasive procedures such as mediastinoscopy and is capable at reaching more chest lymph node stations.
